Outage maintenance method of RO membrane
1. New membrane element (before use)
① the membrane element must be kept in a wet state all the time. Even if it needs to be opened temporarily to confirm the quantity of the same package, it must be in the state of not piercing the plastic bag, and this state shall be saved until it is used.
② avoid direct sunlight when storing in an atmosphere over 10 ℃, and choose a well ventilated place. At this time, the storage temperature shall not exceed 35 ℃.
③ if freezing occurs, physical damage will occur, so insulation measures shall be taken to avoid freezing.
2. Membrane element after water supply
① the membrane element must always be kept in a dark place, and the storage temperature shall not exceed 35 ℃, and direct sunlight shall be avoided.
② when the temperature is below 0 ℃, it is possible to freeze, so anti freezing measures shall be taken.
③ composite series membrane elements shall be soaked in pure water or reverse osmosis filtration water containing stored drugs (sodium bisulfite, 500-1000mg / L, pH value 3-6).
④ in any case, the film shall not be kept dry.
⑤ the concentration and pH value of the preservation solution should be kept in the above range, and should be checked regularly. If it is possible to deviate from the above range, the preservation solution should be modulated again
Maintenance of reverse osmosis system shutdown
The reverse osmosis membrane system should also pay attention to the correct maintenance during the shutdown period to avoid damage to it and cause certain economic losses to users. Therefore, the following maintenance and management shall be carried out during the shutdown of RO membrane system:
1. 0-48 hour shutdown management
The management of daily shutdown for 0-48 hours can refer to the normal shutdown procedure. The key is to conduct low-pressure flushing during shutdown. In order to prevent the growth of microorganisms, flushing should be conducted once every 24 hours.
2. Management of the reverse osmosis membrane system shutdown for 2-25 days
The shutdown can be carried out according to the normal shutdown procedure. After the shutdown, ensure that the pressure vessel is full of RO product water, and close all water inlet, concentrated water valves and water production valves to prevent the membrane elements from drying and microbial growth. When the temperature is higher than 20 ℃, it needs to be rinsed again every 12 hours; when the temperature is lower than 20, it needs to be rinsed again every 24 hours. Pure water produced by RO must be used for flushing. During the shutdown, the temperature shall be kept between 5-45 degrees. The low temperature is conducive to the preservation of membrane components, but the system shall be prevented from icing.
3. Management of the reverse osmosis membrane system shutdown for more than 25 days
Shut down shall be carried out in accordance with normal shutdown procedures, and the system shall be flushed with product water at low pressure. It is better to carry out a chemical cleaning and sterilization treatment. After cleaning, wash the system with RO produced water at low pressure until the conductivity of concentrated water is close to that of inlet water. Prepare 1.0% sodium bisulfite protective solution with pure water produced by reverse osmosis, wash membrane components by cleaning system circulation, remove air from pressure vessel, completely immerse membrane components in protective solution, prevent membrane components from drying, close all water inlet valves, concentrated water valves and water production valves, and prevent air from entering. Check the pH value of membrane element protection fluid once a week. If it is less than 3, replace the protection fluid. During the shutdown of the reverse osmosis membrane system, the temperature shall be kept between 5-45 degrees. The low temperature is conducive to the preservation of membrane elements, but the system shall be prevented from freezing.
